Description

English: Flag of Mauritania, adopted in 2017. The National Assembly added red stripes to the top and bottom edges to represent “the blood shed by the martyrs of independence”.

Español: La Asamblea Nacional de Mauritania aprobó cambiar el diseño de la bandera nacional, añadiendo dos franjas rojas a lo largo de los bordes superior e inferior del paño, con el fin de representar la sangre derramada por los mártires de la independencia.

Français : Drapeau de la Mauritanie, adopté en 2017. L’Assemblée nationale de Mauritanie a ajouté deux bandes rouges le long des bords supérieur et inférieur afin de représenter « le sang versé par les martyrs de l’indépendance ».
