Hello everyone, I'm Amanda. I first signed up for Wikipedia a long time ago, but became involved late 2009. I am more of an administrative (not necessarily using the tools) backend contributor, and I help where my skills lay best.
So After all this time, I think it's time I put some up.

Bill, you were editing through a proxy which has now been blocked. The block wasn't targeted at you. I see you've now resolved the issue though, so that's good. Anyway, I can see the alternative account and there doesn't look to be anything wrong with it. This is quite possibly the first time I've ran a check, found another account, and been able to "Everything looks fine". What a moment! Repressive government is perhaps a tautology; yet even those of us with extreme libertarian or anarchist views understand there is a spectrum, and however you define it the Syrian government is at one end of it - the wrong end.
