Based under the hafsid dynasty in the 15th century, Bardo appears originally as a succession of parks and sailing flags situated in approximately 4 kilometers from Tunis. Bardo is adopted by the whole court of Tunis as place of residence in the 18th century. With the arrival of husseinite beys, Bardo becomes a political, intellectual and religious center. <br>
