A note edit

I have made this edit in the past and it was reverted. Stating that more than 95% of pearls sold on the market today are cultured is grossly misleading. The true percentage is greater than 99.9999%. There have been less than a dozen natural pearl sales in the last year (as they are auction only), yet China has produced more than 1500 metric tons of cultured freshwater alone. With an average of 33 strands per kilo, well, you can do the math.

I understand China sells more LaFern (talk) 12:38, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

When "the last two years" was edit

This sentence was added in September 2012, so it should have referred to 2010-2012, unless it was from an even earlier source. ~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:90C0:9CA0:2E3B:70FF:FEAA:21F7 (talk) 14:41, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
