I think you misunderstand WP:English. This is an encyclopedia and not an English language news portal. We should use accents that are not used in English, see for instance, Nguyễn Văn Thiệu, Honoré de Balzac, Andrés Manuel López Obrador or Kåre Willoch. --Norden1990 (talk) 07:27, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Laszlo Bathory → László Báthory – This is the correct spelling of his name. He was born in Hungary, and also became known for his activities there, and died in Hungary too. László is a Hungarian variant of Vladislav, while Báthory family was a prominent noble family in Hungary (it is conceivable that there is only a name relationship, but because of his studies abroad he is likely to be a member of the family). Scholar works (he is relatively unknown outside Hungary), also use the name with accents, [1], [2], [3], [4]. His name had different forms (Báthory, Bátori and Báthori), but each uses accents. The chronology seems wrong.

The article says he was born in 1420, and both served in a military campaign and completed university studies before beginning his hermitage at 17 years old in 1437. Either he was an extremely precocious youth, or some of the dates are wrong. --98.22.93.131 (talk) 18:45, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
