  • Write a lead that summarizes the article.
  • Add to the background to add information on broader societal trends regarding homosexuality, for example relating to North Carolina's so-called "bathroom bill", as expressed by some reliable sources. The reporting from national news outlets (i.e. The New York Times and The Washington Post) can be helpful with this, since local news rarely likes to connect those dots.
  • Some passages - especially in the "Student A" section - are long and a bit confusing. These should be made tenable.
  • The degree of coverage that this topic received was extraordinary for a suburban school district. The level of attention (esp. w/ regard to the national news media) should be mentioned at some point. If I recall correctly, at least one media outlet felt that the school board election served as a sort of symbolic referendum on the transgender rights movement in general. Perhaps a "Media coverage" section is appropriate?
  • Determine if a better title than "Township High School District 211 transgender student incidents" can be used. "Incidents" does not seem like the correct word to use here. Done.  Mysterymanblue  04:35, 9 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • To what extent are the controversies still active? If they are now in the "past past", the wording in the article may have to rejiggered (some parts are written in present perfect, as if the controversies are still ongoing). On the other hand, even in the most recent Board of Education election, the League of Women Voters asked a question about LGBT issues. Look for any recent developments in the controversies.

Township High School District 211 transgender student incidentsTownship High School District 211 transgender student locker room access controversies – More accurately describes what this article is about. "Incidents" is not the correct word because the subject is more notable for the ensuing controversies than the literal moment that the students were denied access. It is necessary to add "locker room access" to clarify the reasons for the controversy. Additionally, most headlines about the story include the words "transgender" and "locker room".  Mysterymanblue  23:45, 12 June 2021 (UTC) Relisting. Elli (talk | contribs) 19:50, 20 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
