Subtle bias point: We have "claim to be killed" and "taken into custody", but no corresponding "claimed to be alive" and "at large". This makes it look like the US/UK have been slightly more successful than they have been, in my opinion.

What do other think? Martin 15:18 27 Jul 2003 (UTC)

I don't know, during the edit conflicts, if my explanation for the revert came through; I changed "Captured on" back to "Taken into custody" because not all of these people were "captured"; some turned themselves in to coalition forces. If anyone wants to look up which is which, feel free, but the term "taken into custody" covers both cases. - Hephaestos 00:56, 21 Aug 2003 (UTC)

The word "custody" suggests the coalition forces have some sort of jurisdictional authority, which is a POV. -- 212.127.214.105 01:02, 21 Aug 2003 (UTC)
Ah. I see, that makes sense. How about "taken into confinement"? - Hephaestos 01:09, 21 Aug 2003 (UTC)
Sounds a bit too euphemistic. My vote goes to "Held as captive since". -- 212.127.214.105 01:15, 21 Aug 2003 (UTC)
Works for me. - Hephaestos 01:20, 21 Aug 2003 (UTC)

How many lists did the US have? This Guardian article refers to a "200 list" re Moh. al-Izmerly, a "high-value detainee" chemist apparently beaten to death in 2004. 142.177.125.225 19:29, 24 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

Captive? Tariq Aziz and other are shown as "surrendered" yet there's no indication of their current status. (I understand he's in captivity somewhere - surely this page should tell me this?). Seems to me that this page desperatly needs to add: 1 - Stated reason (if any available) that the US has/had them on the list, 2 - Current loction/status (imprisoned in the case of Tariq), and 3 - Planned action (eg "Charged with x, plnned trial by authoriy y at time z".

Colour coding edit

Does anyone else think the list would benefit from a third colour? Individuals would be categorised as dead, in captivity, or at large. 194.72.35.70 08:07, 25 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Izzat Ibrahim ad-Douri is colored as red. Could someone a bit more tech savvy correct this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.6.190.115 (talk) 20:07, 11 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
