We Never Sleep (film)We Never Sleep – Exact title match; association to current target Pinkerton (detective agency) can be a hatnote 162 etc. (talk) 20:43, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

  •   Not done I am unsure of what you want to happen to the redirect that currently occupies We Never Sleep. We Never Sleep (film) is a great way for readers to tell the difference between that and the detective agency. We could move the We Never Sleep redirect to another location and let the film article occupy its place, but that is too controversial for me to carry out. I would oppose anyway. • We Never Sleep doesn't link to anything. [1] I don't see how this catchphrase is deserving of a primary redirect. As nothing else on Wikipedia is an exact title match, removing the (film) disambiguator seems fine to me. 162 etc. (talk) 23:04, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • 162 etc., I think you are just going to have to start a page move discussion in case more people oppose. Thank you for providing your rationale. It helps me understand your reasoning Scorpions13256 (talk) 23:48, 6 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose but (maybe) Make a disambiguation page at the basename. The film probably isn't primary, but it's unclear whether there's a primary topic at all. Paintspot Infez (talk) 01:03, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nomination. The Pinkerton motto certainly is not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, but if consensus skews towards the creation of a "We Never Sleep" disambiguation page, per Paintspot Infez, I would also support such a dab page. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 01:46, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Comment I am open to the idea of a We Never Sleep disambiguation page. I agree that the Pinkerton motto is not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, but I am also inclined to say the same about the film. Scorpions13256 (talk) 02:27, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. The slogan is not an alternative name of the Pinkerton agency. The only relevant part of their article where it says that "We never sleep" is the agency's "slogan." That's not a terribly interesting fact in and of itself. 99to99 (talk) 07:26, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
Whatever the result of this @162 etc.: this should not have been attempted as an uncontroversial move. In ictu oculi (talk) 14:07, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Yes perhaps put the DAB at the base name. Crouch, Swale (talk) 09:39, 8 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per the nomination, with a hatnote directing readers to the various other subjects which, although they may not be notable enough for their own page, are potential search topics. The Pinkerton slogan should be included on that list. --Yaksar (let's chat) 21:59, 21 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. Pinkerton’s agency has a competitive claim to PrimaryTopic. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 06:13, 25 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
