Say What? edit

This is a task force for volcanoes of Canada and related subjects. The most important volcanoes of Canada are illustrated above. Depending on how much support we get, the goal is either a Featured or a Good topic. Involved parties would be WP:CANADA and WP:VOLCANO. The topic covers all of the volcanoes in Canada, provincial parks noted for protecting volcanoes and volcanic landscapes, people and places notable for their association with a Canadian volcano, as well as the core article, Volcanism of Canada. All interested persons can simply scribble their name under "Interested." I hope that I we can work togethor to get what I think is a very important topic where it should be! Also see the Volcanism of Hawaii Workgroup.

WP:FT? presents the following requirements:

It is a set of similar, interrelated articles that cover a specific topic
(a) There are at least three distinct articles.

(b) The articles have a clear similarity with each other under a well-defined topical scope.

(c) All articles in the topic are linked together, preferably using a template, and share a common category or super-category.

(d) There is no obvious gap (missing or stub article) in the topic. A topic must not cherry pick only the best articles to become featured together.
The topic has an introductory and summary lead article or list.
Each article is of high quality, including references.
(a) A number of articles are featured class (featured articles or featured lists), according to the following rules:
(i) At least twenty percent (rounded up) of the articles are featured class.

(ii) At least two articles are of featured class.

(b) All other articles are good articles.

(c) Items that cannot achieve a high rating (as stated in 3.a and 3.b) due to their limited subject matter have passed an individual audit for quality which included a completed peer review with all important problems raised fixed. Such items cannot be used to fulfill criterion 1.a.
