Hello! I'm Dorothy. I contribute to Wikipedia articles related to history, art/artists, music, philosophy, literature, labor, archives, health, and more. I started editing Wikipedia around 2012. I've worn multiple hats as a Wikipedia editor, community organizer, and researcher. I currently participate as an organizer in the Wikimedia User Group, Wikimedia LGBT+ (I'm bi). I recently contributed to the global/virtual Queering Wikipedia 2023 conference and presented a talk about Wikipedia and AI.

I was formerly a Wikipedian-in-Residence at the Metropolitan New York Library Council in 2013-2014, and the documentation for that work can be found at: Wikipedia:GLAM/Metropolitan New York Library Council. I also contributed to WikiProject Consumer Reports. I was a member of Wikimedia NYC, and a Program Officer at WikiConference USA, 2014. I have done some academic work reflecting on participating in the Wikimedia community as a gender and diversity advocate, see Ways of Knowing When Research Subjects Care citation below.
