January 2018 edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Template:2018 Winter Olympics Slovakia men's ice hockey team roster, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. In WP:HOCKEY we use places at the time of player's birth. There was no Slovakia or Czech Republic before 1 January 1993.Sabbatino (talk) 15:44, 31 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Farma 10 moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Farma 10, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Disambiguation link notification for July 15 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Table tennis at the 2019 Summer Universiade, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Zhang Rui (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:36, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Česko Slovenská SuperStar (season 2) edit

You bring up some good points, and sometimes WP can seem very arbitrary. That's because it is. It's run by volunteers, and even though there are policies and guidelines, those can be interpreted differently by different editors. Just because an article has existed since 2011 does not mean it should have. WP has a policy called WP:VERIFY. So, basically, everything in the article needs to have a valid source to back it up. I do a lot of work on old films in the U.S., and it can be very frustrating finding information from valid sources. If there isn't sourcing, that could be an indication that it doesn't meet notability guidelines. Also, the fact that it exists in other wikis while not completely irrelevant, means very little. Each wiki has their own policies and guidelines, and few are as discriminating as English WP. Usually having an article on another wiki is an indication that something could be notable, provided proper referencing can be found to show it passes WP:GNG or one of the WP:SNG's. I've restored the redirect for now, if you can find sourcing than by all means feel free to recreate it. Remember another policy on WP is that uncited material may be removed at any time. And as per WP:BURDEN, it should not be re-added without proper citations. If you would prefer to have some time to work on it, I could move it into draftspace for you. Let me know.
