Ethnic groups

Hi. You just reverted [1] an edit regarding the ethnic groups of Gibraltar, eliminating any reference in that section to the native population that left the town after its capture and gave place to its current demographics.

The exile of the native population from Gibraltar is information that has had a very important impact in the ethnic groups of Gibraltar (from a largely Spanish population pre-capture to the varied ethnic groups that exist today) which should be enough to include 7 words in the Ethnic groups section. Any reader trying to know more about the demographics of Gibraltar should not have to go all the way up to the History section and look for this briefly mentioned episode in order to understand the causes of Gibraltar's current rich ethnical variety.

Your justification saying "rvt point is already made repeatedly, doesn't need to be belaboured" is completely inconsistent. There are many more repetitions of other topics in the article. For example, the varied ethnicity of the population is reflected in at least four sections of the article. The British armed forces' impact on the city is mentioned in five sections. Those topics are rightfully mentioned in several sections because they have multifaceted impacts (history, ethnicity, languages, culture...) With the same criteria, the flight of the native population should at least be mentioned in the history section and the ethnic groups sections. You find it ok to repeat 4 or 5 times references to other topics, while two mentions of the flight of the native population (in the history and the ethnic groups sections) are too much.

You, Wee Curry Monster and a group of editors (some of them with a nationalist agenda) have repeatedly tried to erase mentions of this episode about the flight of the civil population after the capture of Gibraltar. This has resulted in edit wars, Arbcoms, topic bans, ...and in the end the article ended up including the episode. Please let us not repeat it again. Eliminating mentions of native populations (7 more additional words and just two mentions in two sections!) is not something that contributes to the quality of the article.

I will now include those 7 words about the episode that explains why the ethnic groups of Gibraltar are as they are today, and will ask you not to revert again. You are a much more experienced user of wikipedia than I am, and I don't need to remind you about 3RR, etcetera.
