Thanks for creating Khamenei's fatwa against nuclear weapon

@Mhhossein:. I was reviewing Ali Khamenei page and noticed that you have created a separate page for the Fatwa section. I wanted to thank you for that and notify you that I made a few improvements to the article. Strivingsoul (talk) 09:02, 30 August 2015 (UTC).

Appreciate your Fatwa highlighting. Also request to reconsider the sister and daughter issue at page Fatima (A.S). Thanks. Nannadeem (talk) 09:24, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Re badgering

Re this: badger. To pester, to annoy persistently. Replying to every statement in a discussion with repetitive or annoying arguments in an attempt (whether intentional or not) to dominate the discussion via exhaustion. You've been asked to stop; instead you are getting worse. "Address the edits not the editor" does not apply to behavioral issues such as this one. VQuakr (talk) 07:54, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for your explanation VQuakr, are you referring to a policy? Mhhossein (talk) 11:25, 10 September 2015 (UTC)
By the way, I never tried "to dominate the discussion via exhaustion". Mhhossein (talk) 11:30, 10 September 2015 (UTC)
Not really policy so much as just asking you to fix your behavior. WP:REHASH touches on it, but that is an (oft-cited) essay. Short version - if you have replied to every !vote in an extended discussion, there is a problem. VQuakr (talk) 19:05, 10 September 2015 (UTC)
I am done derailing the article talk page addressing your behavior, but I did see your last reply there. I see you are sticking with your claim that there was nothing wrong with this, and you are still attempting to spin it as a good-faith query. I do want to be clear that you are fooling no one. VQuakr (talk) 19:09, 10 September 2015 (UTC)
VQuakr:Per WP:REHASH "If your arguments are rejected, bring better arguments, don’t simply repeat the same ones", but who rejected my argument? I was trying to clarify the misleading RFC. Merely replying to every one is not problematic and notice that my last conversation was based on my understanding of Npguy's apparently odd comments. There would not be any problems if we assume goos faith. Thanks to NPguy, he clarified his point in two sentences. As you see he meant to offer an "alternative", not to "clarify" and that was why I asked him that question. I never tried to fool any one! Mhhossein (talk) 05:51, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

Descriptions of Juma mosque in Ichery Sheher

Hi, Mhhossein. I found your name on the embassy talk page and think that you may help me with translation of some texts in Perisan. There is several old descriptions in Persian near the minaret of the Juma mosque in Baku. One of them is in Arabic and has a date of 709 and the name of amir Sharaf ad-Din Mahmud bin Fahr ad-Din. One of the Perian texts is about the taxes from Baku including tax for oil etc. Could you please help me to identify which of them is what and to translate these texts? Thank you? --Interfase (talk) 12:56, 23 September 2015 (UTC)

@Interfase: Sorry for the delay. I tried to read them and even tried to distinguish which one is Arabic and which one is Persian but I could not because they are really vague. However, to the best of my knowledge, this one contains some Persian texts (the type calligraphy suggests that). Mhhossein (talk) 14:04, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
Ok, thank you. Could you advise someone who has some experiense to read such old calligraphic works? --Interfase (talk) 13:21, 29 September 2015 (UTC)

Page numbers and book titles in citations

Please do not destroy page numbers and book titles in citations as you did in your edit at Husayn ibn Ali. You changed

  • Islamic Unity and Happiness By Tallal Alie Turfe Page 174
    • To: "Islamic Unity and Happiness". google.com.

Sahih Bukhari. "Sahih Bukhari : Book of "Peacemaking"". sahih-bukhari.com.

Do not worry I have repaired the damage. It only took me an hour and 20 minutes. Maybe you could read the citation template documentation before you attempt other similar edits. Please understand that we need to know author names, page numbers, etc. In the case of a real live book, that happens to be on Google Books for now, we have to give the real publisher, author, etc. Giving the publisher as Google Books is inappropriate.-- Toddy1 (talk) 06:55, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

Thanks Toddy1! but I wouldn't call my edits "damaging" because I tried to edit the article based on the templates rather than self made referencing styles, and it was very necessary for the article. You could try to know how familiar I am with those mentioned templates. Btw, I would call your effort "completing the job" rather than "repairing the damage". Anyway, thanks. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 12:02, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

See my reply about pictures on my page. What is the difference between the article above and the one titled Arba'een? We seem to have two very similar articles. Victuallers (talk) 12:06, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
Victuallers:This world's largest gathering deserved a picture, didn't it? Anyway, Arbaeen is a broader subject which includes all what's related about the special day of arbaeen, while Arba'een Pilgrimage deals with the act of goin to Karbala on foot which occurs every year. Mhhossein (talk) 13:00, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
As I say the picture thing is a beauty contest (in which your (or my) favourite doesn't always win). With regard to the articles.... it may be your intention that they are different but they are very similar in actual scope. Both of them tell me a lot about the pilgrimage and its history. I suspect there may be more about the pilgrimage in the older one. Someone? needs to do some deleting and to sort out what each is about and get the article to talk about that and not about both. Victuallers (talk) 13:16, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
Victuallers: They are two different things my dear! The article on the day of arbaeen just needs some trimmings. Is it sensible? There is a day and a pilgrimage. Mhhossein (talk) 13:34, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
I agree it needs trimming (with big shears) Victuallers (talk) 13:38, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Non-Muslim view of Husayn ibn Ali

If you are expressing the view that the article should be retained, please could you place '''Keep''' at the front of your text. At the moment, a cursory glace at the page suggests that nobody favours retention. You might want to consider whether there are any reasons for keeping the article - if you can think of any, now would be a good time to write them down at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Non-Muslim view of Husayn ibn Ali. Please take all the space you like. If it takes fifteen minutes to read your views on why the article should be saved, that would be time well spent.

As for my personal biases, I am biased in favour of Wikipedia having good coverage of Husayn ibn Ali. This means taking an interest in what he was really like. He was not a djinn who could kill 700 armed men in a day with his sword. Nor was he a perfect person without fault. Wikipedia is not meant to be an altar.-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:42, 19 November 2015 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Saff V., where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Hi Mhhossein this is Rmashhadi from wikifa, I wanted to thank you for making Arba'een Pilgrimage, they wanted to delete this article in wikifa but I stood up now I see you made it in enwiki, thank you man I realy appreciate it. I haven't seen you in wikifa but where ever you are and what ever you do, I wish you all the best.

take care--Rmashhadi (talk) 13:04, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

Hey Rmashhadi. Why did they wanted to deleted such a notable subject? That's why I don't tend to edit the Fa wiki. Btw, I put steps forward and took the article to the main page. You're welcome. Mhhossein (talk) 13:09, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
You did one hell of a job, I wish you were in wikifa too there are not so many Muslims there and I feel a little bit lonely :( about deleting the page they said "It's more like a show business rather than a real thing" or something of that nature. but this wasn't the sad part, the sad part was the user that suggested to delete it I always thought he was a believer, but apparently he is not, that's why I feel lonely there.

I'm a little bit talkative, sorry for bothering you, I wish you joy in Yalda--Rmashhadi (talk) 20:52, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

Rmashhadi: That's kind of you, I just tried to do my best. I'll be there editing when it's needed (I have had some contributions there!). You did not seem talkative to me at all. Btw, I wish a nice Yalda, too. Mhhossein (talk) 21:17, 16 December 2015 (UTC)

You have no idea of what "vandalism" is. Anyway, at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents you are trying to mislead the users by changing the sequences of the comments. Mhhossein (talk) 04:43, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
Just stay away from my comments. I will not warn you again. FreeatlastChitchat (talk) 05:03, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
I never edited your comments! I just reordered the comments based on their chronological order! Almost every body knows that users should not paste new comments 5 hours later (after older comments are made by others) above all comments. Every thing is recorded in history. Is it acceptable if I paste the newest comments above all comments? I don't think so. Mhhossein (talk) 05:13, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
Yes ofc you can edit your comment whenever you wish. I (and no body else) will mind that. Feel free to try. FreeatlastChitchat (talk) 05:19, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
You did not answer my question; "Is it acceptable if I paste the newest comment above all comments 5 hours after others last comment is made?" Mhhossein (talk) 05:28, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
I did answer it, let me bold it up for you you can edit your comment whenever you wish. If you think you forgot to mention something, feel free to mention it when you remember about it. What is there to "not understand" in my answer? FreeatlastChitchat (talk) 05:41, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
Feel free to make a page for your newest policy. Mhhossein (talk) 05:46, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

A technical group for dispute resolution

Salam Alaykum Eid al-Milad al-Nabi Mubarak.

There are many Islamic-related articles which may become controversial between Muslims and non-Muslims or different Islamic Madhabs. Following our succesful attempts to improve the lead of Ali and current effort in Taqiya, I suggest forming a "technical group for dispute resolution" in WP:Islam. Al-Shayk Al-Mufid

Hello, Mhh. I can copy-edit this, but only slowly, as am still not very well, I'm afraid. Thanks for the new year greetings you sent, and my best wishes to you for the next year on the day that you celebrate the new year, which I think is your first day of spring, isn't it?   ~ P-123 (talk) 18:54, 11 February 2016 (UTC)

I have finished most of the copy-editing, but further tidying up is needed, and I will have a few queries. ~ P-123 (talk) 23:56, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
P-123: Thank you very much both for responding my greeting and for accepting to copy edit the article. I'm sure that you are an excellent copy editor. Yes, we celebrate the very first day of spring. Btw, I'm ready for swiftly responding your queries. Mhhossein (talk) 03:42, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

Al-Shaykh Al-Mufid

In response to a request for a copy-edit of the article on Al-Shaykh Al-Mufid posted at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests, I have pretty much finished copy-editing the article. There are just two things I have to ask you about:

1) In the section Al-Shaykh Al-Mufid#As a theologian is the following sentence:

  • Al-Mufid tried to defend the role of reason – he described it as Al-Nazar – and also disputed for the truth and put away faults with the help of argument and proofs.

Both phrases, "disputed for the truth" and "put away faults", are not clear. I suppose dispute is used in the meaning of "debate" (see definition 2 in the linked Wiktionary entry); "debate" is not the most common definition, but even if you use it with that meaning, it is not usually followed by "for", so that's a bit puzzling. I'm thinking either

  • disputed with other scholars in a quest for the truth,

or

  • debated the meaning of truth

or something else.

Regarding "put away faults", I'm not sure what you mean. Perhaps

  • analyzed faults
  • analyzed sin/sins

or something else.

2) In the section Al-Shaykh Al-Mufid#Prophecy, the last sentence is:

  • Although he took care to make a distinction between an apostle and a prophet as the Quran does, he did not believe that there was a difference in their functions, which enabled him to the levels of the prophets and the apostles except in terms of their names.

The part after "which enabled him" is not clear. I have no idea what is meant, so I cannot fix it. Also, it's not really clear to what the relative pronoun "which" refers. What enabled him to [whatever]? Not believing that there was a difference? Or "their functions"? You've got to work on this sentence. I'll try to help you word the sentence once I understand what you want to say. Corinne (talk) 03:18, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

Thank you Corinne, but as you see above, P-123 a member of WP:GOCE had already started copy editing the article. I think P-123 can answer your first question better. Regarding your second question I should tell you that something was missing and I added it. Is it clear now? Mhhossein (talk) 05:32, 14 February 2016 (UTC)
Yes, that's better. But regarding the copy-edit, you posted a request at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests, and no one had indicated he or she had accepted the assignment. When an editor accepts a copy-editing assignment, s/he is supposed to add the {{Working}} template after the request and post the {{Done}} template there when finished. I had no idea another editor had accepted the assignment. I didn't look on this page until I had finished the copy-edit. I'll let P-123 take over from this point. Corinne (talk) 04:04, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
Corinne: However, this does not make me forget your valuable work on the article. Mhhossein (talk) 10:13, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
I didn't realise I had to put in a template after the request! I have finished copy-editing as far as I can, but have some queries:
1) I also am not sure what this sentence means: "Al-Mufid tried to defend the role of reason – he described it as Al-Nazar – and also disputed for the truth and put away faults with the help of argument and proofs." Can you put it in other words, the way we did before once with a Wiki article? Then I can copy-edit.
2) The first section, "Early life and education", refers to Hirja, and another date there has "AH". Are they the same thing?
3) In the sentence, "... which enabled him to put the Imams on the level of the prophets and the apostles except in terms of their names", is "except in terms of their names" really necessary?
4) "nass" is defined in its own Wiki article as "a known, or clear, legal injunction", not "personal designation" as in the al-Mufid article. How should this be rephrased?
5) In this article, should the name throughout be "al-Mufid", or "Al-Mufid", as in the title of the article?
6) The article says, "Al-Mufid received two Tawqees by Muhammad al-Mahdi during major occultation", but even after looking up the wiki article on "major occultation", I am still not sure what "during major occulation" means in that sentence. Could you perhaps expand the sentence, or tell me what it means and I can do that?
I think that is everything. I can finish copy-editing when I have your answers to those questions.   ~ P-123 (talk) 20:30, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
Thank you P-123 for keeping on the job. Here's the response to your queries:
  1. I read the original context from which that vague sentence (Mufid defended...) was derived. As I understood, He believed that in debates one can use arguments and proofs (can use reason or al-Nazar), while some others restricted themselves to the words of the prophets and Imams as by default true statements (Al-mufid apparently believed in both reason and words of the Imams).
  2. There's no difference between them.
  3. I think it's necessary, however you can take a look at the original source: "Denying any functional distinction enables him to put the Imams on a level with the prophets named in the Quran and also with the others who were called apostles, in every respect but in name."P84
  4. As you see here in Nass, "In Twelver Shi'ah Islam/Ismaili, nass refers to the nomination of an Imam or Da'i al-Mutlaq by a previous Imam or Dai," which fits the context.
  5. It should be Al-Mufid, when it comes at the beginning of the sentence.
  6. Major Occultation is a belief by Shia which simply is about the twelfth Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi, being absent and hidden for an unknown period (using hadiths Quranic vesres they beleive that he and Jesus will reappear at the same time to reestablish justice and peace on the earth). Meanwhile, some people with high spiritual status could make contact with him occasionally throughout the history, an act which is desired much passionately by Shia muslims and is disclosed to have happened just few times.
Could I answer your questions correctly? Mhhossein (talk) 06:47, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan

Hello Mhhossein: The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan has been completed. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You will notice that I archived one of the article's citations (#1) and I suggest that you archive the rest as time allows. This ensures that the article's references are available "forever" and doesn’t develop “dead links”. The site I use is https://archive.org/web/. Simply copy the url in your citation and paste it in the box on the archive.org site and click save. It creates a copy of the original page and provides you with a new url to add to your original citation. If you look at one of the url's I've archived you'll see the syntax. You add the new url to the end of the original citation like this: |archiveurl= http etc|archivedate=18 February 2015}}. Not all websites allow archiving - CBS TV news and the NY Times are two I've come across, so there's not much you can do about that unless there is an alternate citation you could use.
Kind regards, Twofingered Typist (talk) 14:34, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Thank you Twofingered Typist for your nice job on the article Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan. I also thank you for the valueable archiving tip. It's very good that I can now save the links. Mhhossein (talk) 17:33, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi Mhhossein. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Widr (talk) 16:42, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

About this WP:ANI discussion

Mhhossein: Lugnuts (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) does have something of a history of... well, let's just say, if Wikipedia was a game of soccer, he has a history of disputing the calls of the referee and the linesman. In my opinion, I think the both of you should disengage from interactions, and get on with writing encyclopedia articles. Pete AU aka--Shirt58 (talk) 12:10, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

Shirt58: Thanks, I will of course act based on your tip and won't interact with him in future. But, my point is that if we just let him go without even a warning, he will make similar comments in response to other editors, as he had done in the past and will disrupt the atmosphere by his uncolleagial approach. However, as I said, I prefer to make use of other's experience. Mhhossein (talk) 12:18, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
I don't condone incivility but, in this case, you were making edits to an article Lugnuts had just created. I think editing recently created articles, when they are created by an editor who has been around Wikipedia for 9+ years and made over 400,000 edits, will result in you getting some flack. It's not that longtime editors are given a pass and do not have to be polite but with that much experience comes confidence that they know what they are doing and the view that the edits you are making aren't improvements. Again, I'm not saying Lugnuts behaved in an optimum manner, it's just understandable in this situation. Not all editors will be upset when you start changing articles they just created, but, personally, I'd work on improving existing articles instead. Liz Read! Talk! 13:13, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
ِDear Liz: Please consider that the user does not know how to handle such issues even after +9 years. I think an experienced editor would not blank talk page of articles under such a circumstance. So, I don't think that there's necessarily a direct relationship between the length of editing period and experience. After two years of actively editing, I know some thing about the project, which is there are always more things to know. My only request here is to not "condone [his] incivility" and "personal attacks". If the admins think that he even does not need to be warned, so it means that I can also use terms such as what he used in my interactions with others (although I'm not willing to act so). This way, he will get even more confidence. Mhhossein (talk) 14:37, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

I've been editng as long as Lugnuts but I missed the part where we are not supposed to edit articles someone else created. Is there a standard waiting period? Where do I apply to become a designated editor allowed to OWN my creations? Legacypac (talk) 14:34, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

In my opinion, when you reverted FreeatlastChitchat on WP:ANI, you should not have removed his/her comment completely. Since you objected to his/her comment, I think you should have moved his comment to the bottom of the discussion in the section, and then posted a reply to him/her.-- Toddy1 (talk) 18:57, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

Thank you Toddy1. It was an awkward and flawed archiving. Considering his background, he should not have archived this topic. Moreover, there was an ongoing discussion. He could have simply make his comment, if he only wanted to comment on the topic. Mhhossein (talk) 19:05, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

Dear Mhhossein Please accept my apologies. I am a new editor, and your reply at DYK made me realize that my reasons for objecting to "Rambo" violate WP:OR ( remembering the movies) and WP:NPOV. On 7 May 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Iran's frozen assets, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that $100–$120 billion worth of Iranian assets are frozen around the world and the nuclear agreement will lead to the release of only about $30 billion of it? Alexander Prokhorenko - DYK idea

I think I may have found a new "hook" for the Alexander P article. A French couple has given his family a WWII era Legion of Honor medal and the Cross of War, and delivered a second Legion of Honor from another French citizen. I am going to add this info to the commemoration section of the article. I will also write a suggested hook and post it to your talk page. My computer is still having problems, so I am trying to edit on a 5year old iPad, so I may need some help with wiki markup. Best, Tribe of Tiger (talk) 18:52, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

Tribe of Tiger: That will be a good improvement. Thanks, I'm expecting to see your edit. Mhhossein (talk) 02:57, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
My computer started working again, so I have added the new info and have made a few other changes. See what you think. I have read about the DYK requirements, and this new info won't fit within the character limit. I have written my own version of a "hook". The fact that he was so young, and that he was in "special forces" may help to make the Main Page reader more curious.
  • ...that Alexander Prokhorenko, a 25 year old Russian special forces officer, ordered an airstrike on himself when he was surrounded by ISIS on an intelligence mission during the recapture of Palmyra? (from Alexander Prokhorenko WP article)
This comes in at 196 characters. Also, the photo of Alexander was removed because it was not attributed properly at Commons. This one (ru:Файл:Александр_Прохоренко.jpg) is a non-free photo. (See the note at the bottom of my talk page). This photo and others are on the Russian Wikipedia's version of Commons, but I can't read Russian, and I don't know how to load this photo to English Commons. The photos from the Russian Commons would have to meet our rules for display, I would think. The rules for DYK say that the photo must be a "free image". We can probably get an image back onto the article page at some point, but probably not for DYK. Tribe of Tiger (talk) 05:26, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
Tribe of Tiger: Thanks for your valuable efforts and I'm nice to hear that your computer is in service one again so that you can be with us editing pages. Anyway, I should say that image is not loaded to Commons and it can't be because it's not freely licensed and that I like your proposed hook. You can propose it there at the DYK nomination page as long as a new reviewer shows willingness to do the review job. Mhhossein (talk) 05:39, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
Do I change the hook that was already on the Template? Or do I need to fill out a new form? Sorry, this is not something I have read about before. Thanks,Tribe of Tiger (talk) 05:48, 10 May 2016 (UTC)
Tribe of Tiger: I have requested a new reviewer to consider the nomination. You can just edit my hook and say in edit summary that you're modification is based on our discussion. So, you don't need to a fill out a new form. Don't hesitate to ask me your questions regarding DYK or any other areas of Wikipedia. I'll be grateful to help new comers. Musa al-Sadr

Hello Mhhossein:

Hello: The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Musa al-Sadr has been completed.

Please note that I changed four instances of the name "as-Sadr" to "al-Sadr" to agree with the article’s title – this was the only spelling I could find on-line. Also multiple instances of “Moussa” were changed to “Musa”, again for consistency with the article's title.

Both "Shia" and "Shi’a" are used throughout the article. It would be best to use only one version which I will leave for you to decide.

Where his surname alone was used I found both "Sadr" and "al-Sadr". I changed "al-Sadr" to "Sadr" again for consistency, but of course you can change this if you wish.

I know there are multiple contributors to this article, which explains how these inconsistencies arise, so I am not being critical.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind regards,

Twofingered Typist (talk) 21:29, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

@Twofingered Typist: Thanks so much. The article is much better now and we needed your revision. Also, thanks for the comprehensive explanation on the edits. I'll let you know if there were anything. Mhhossein (talk) 03:39, 20 June 2016 (UTC)

Fitra article

Hello, I am not sure if I understand your edits on the Fitra article, in that the source provided is identical to others used. Are you against khitan, and so do not with it to be mentioned in the article, or merely have an issue with the choice of citation? I am simply curious as to the reasoning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.59.139.188 (talk) 02:18, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

I don't care about other parts. They might be removed if they are referring to such a primary source. --Mhhossein talk 07:05, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
I still do not fully understand. Primary sources are heavily used in the article, but the citation from al-Bukhari inre fitra seems a reasonable addition following the other primary source in the section from the Sahih Muslim. I initially assumed that your edit had a political motive, but if this is not the case I apologize for the misunderstanding. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.59.139.188 (talk) 07:42, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
No political motive was in effect and thanks for following the embedded link. We can resolve this sourcing problem by adding reliable secondary sources.--Mhhossein talk 07:45, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

Have added secondary source discussing al-Bukhari's acts of fitra. Another is https://islamtomorrow.com/everything/fitrah.asp, which discusses fitra more generally. Whichever you think is preferable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.252.200.58 (talk) 19:24, 30 August 2016 (UTC) I think in general this article could use a cleanup and more citations, but I have tried to make a start with the section on sunnah. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.252.200.58 (talk) 19:37, 30 August 2016 (UTC) Citing Islamic websites is normal and established usage for articles about Islam, and attempting to block an additional hadith (which is quoted elsewhere, in other articles on wiki) is a strange move; if this logic is followed, all other references to hadith on this article must be removed as primary sources. I suspect that your edits may have something to do with personal feelings about the topic, but am powerless to do anything about it. As a Muslim though, I find it rather bizarre. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.59.139.188 (talk) 17:21, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

As a Muslim you should keep your good faith regarding others. All what I did was based on policies. I just removed those materials solely based on primary sources. Instead I encourage you to find reliable sources regarding this subject. --Mhhossein talk 17:33, 31 August 2016 (UTC)

ضیاءالملک احمد بن نظام‌الملک

The space between Diya and Al-Mulk is non-existence and is known as Zero-Width non-Joiner, what is the meaning behind that. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 03:14, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

Alexis Ivanov: If you mean the 'ء' sign, it's a letter in Arabic alphabet but we don't have it in Persian. However, as the two languages have exchanged words, some of the current in use words in Persian dialect have 'ء'. Based on the analysis, this letter is pronounced æ, ə, i:, and o. In fact the first part of that name is pronounced Diya-o-l Mulk. --Mhhossein talk 04:41, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
I wasn't talking about the letter, I was talking about the space between the two words is Zero, I noticed many Persian words, here is an example (Persian: نظام‌الملک) and (Arabic: نظام الملك)

in the Arabic word there is a space between each words, but in Farsi some words are not given space and they call it the Zero-Width non-joiner. (Persian: طغرل‌بیگ) and (Persian: طغرلبیگ) Alexis Ivanov (talk) 04:45, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, it's a part of Persian grammar. I'm not familiar with the exact rules! Sorry! But I can search for it if you need to know. --Mhhossein talk 05:00, 24 September 2016 (UTC)
Yeah that will be helpful, throw me the link anytime. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 05:51, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

Billy the Kid

The picture in "On This Day" is normally related to the text with the word (pictured). In this edit, Billy the Kid was removed from the visible text without changing his picture. Art LaPella (talk) 01:20, 22 September 2016 (UTC)

@Art LaPella: Thanks for reminding. --Mhhossein talk 06:38, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

WikiCup 2017 September newsletter

Round 4 of the WikiCup has ended and we move forward into the final round. In round 4, a total of 12 FAs, 3 FLs, 44 GAs, 3 FLs, 79 DYKs, 1 ITN and 42 GARs was achieved, with no FPs or FTs this time. Congratulations to Peacemaker67 on the Royal Yugoslav Navy Good Topic of 36 items, and the 12 featured articles achieved by Cas Liber (5), Vanamonde93 (3), Peacemaker67 (2), Adityavagarwal (1) and 12george1 (1). With a FA scoring 200 points, and bonus points available on top of this, FAs are likely to feature heavily in the final round. Meanwhile Yellow Evan, a typhoon specialist, was contributing 12 DYKs and 10 GAs, while Adityavagarwal and Freikorp topped the GAR list with 8 reviews each. As we enter the final round, we are down to eight contestants, and we would like to thank those of you who have been eliminated for the useful contributions you have made to the Cup and Wikipedia. The lowest score needed to reach round 5 was 305, and I think we can expect a highly competitive final round.

Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 4 but before the start of round 5 can be claimed in round 5. Remember too that you must claim your points within 10 days of "earning" them. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. It would be helpful if this list could be cleared of any items no longer relevant. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to reduce the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck, and let the best man (or woman) win! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send.
