Spring 2012 semester edit

To my knowledge, I am unassigned and willing to serve for Spring 2012. However, I believe a coordinator makes assignments rather than professors requesting ad hoc assistance. The process is evolving and you may be correct in requesting me.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 05:46, 22 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

I am willing to serve, but do not want to go out of process. Please contact User:Sross (Public Policy).--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 22:17, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi again. I'll get in touch with Chanitra as soon as possible and find out what the status on recruitment is in Muncie. Thanks for your patience. If nothing else, we do have online ambassadors. If you're ready to commit to the program, you can go ahead and list your course at the course list for the United States Education Program, and that will give the online ambassadors a chance to sign up to sponsor your class. I did get a response at User_talk:Ragesoss#Wikipedia:Ambassadors that says: "It depends on what they have questions about, specifically. You can try pointing them to this form, or they could email Jami Mathewson if they are interested in the US program specifically, or the Regional Ambassador for their area of the country. Hope that helps."--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 14:44, 11 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi again; I spoke with Chanitra earlier this week, and she said she hasn't had any luck yet with recruitment in Muncie, but she'll keep an eye out for interested candidates. Bob the WikipediaN (talkcontribs) 02:26, 12 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello! edit

Hi Mike, Thanks for your note. I'm also hoping for some Ambassador help, but I haven't been able to pin anyone down. I'm likely in over my head as I have zero experience editing wikipedia :) I'm guessing that the students will catch on to things more quickly than me though. Should be an interesting semester! best, Jerry Prof Haeffel (talk) 02:06, 8 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

You can locate online ambassadors at Wikipedia:United_States_Education_Program/Online_Ambassadors.Smallman12q (talk) 19:19, 26 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

A couple of points edit

Hi,
Firstly, I'd love to help, as an ambassador. Secondly, Integrity Testing seems to be used for two separate purposes - it's probably best to split the employment-related content into Employment integrity testing and add a couple of hatnotes. bobrayner (talk) 15:47, 1 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Online Ambassador edit

I'd be happy to help as your 2nd online ambassador=P. If you have any questions, or the students have any questions, feel free to post here, or on my talk page. Cheers.Smallman12q (talk) 01:55, 2 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Inital plans edit

Students should post initial plans to the respective article talk page. This is what talk pages are for, discussing how to improve the article. For an example of students discussing improvements to an article on the talk page, see Talk:Social web. If the article does not yet exist, students can start the article and talkpage in userspace(userspace for the "user:" prefix) in what's called a "sandbox article" (because it's like a sandbox and it's okay to mess it up), for example as User:chickas7/Work Motivation and User talk:chickas7/Work Motivation. Let me know if you have any questions or if you need help with wiki jargon (there are only a few terms to learn).Smallman12q (talk) 14:14, 12 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Mechanical aptitude text edit

A concern was raised at my talk page by User:Excirial that the "Wiesen Test of Mechanical Aptitude" section of Mechanical_Aptitude is copied from certain copyrighted sources. Students may not copy-paste copyrighted content, this is a copyright violation/plagiarism. The content appears to be copied from http://www.criteriacorp.com/solution/wtma.php and http://www.linnbenton.edu/auto/natef/WTMA.pdf. The copy-pasting may have been unintentional, but they must paraphrase/rephrase the text and reference the new material. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, or at my talk page.Smallman12q (talk) 23:38, 18 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
