Proposed deletion of Jared Mayden edit

The article Jared Mayden has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. April 2020 edit

Hello. Your recent edit to Sachse High School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Playing college ball is not notable. Neither is simply being drafted by a pro team. Meters (talk) 02:54, 30 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

conflict of interest edit

I believe you have a conflict of interest with Daily Collegian per your post at the Teahouse. I would suggest you take a look at Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. All the best, {{u|wylie39}} {Talk} 01:36, 15 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Wylie39: Hello, totally fair! I just have been digging into the history. Happy to have people verify, I have cited everything heavily, The biggest thing is I have lots of knowledge as well as access to historical documents. Not sure how to do that. Am I not allowed to keep editing? I am a journalist so I am not new to conflict of interest, I feel it has been written objectively. Thank you for your help as I am new to this scene.
@Wylie39: Second reply here, I don't currently work at the paper. But I am a student at the school still and do respect what they do.
I would make sure to cite everything and Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest#How_to_disclose_a_COI. If you make any controversial changes I would get consensus form other editors.
@Wylie39: Thanks! is there a good way to find other editors that may be able to review the page and check my work?
The Teahouse and Help desk will be happy to help. Also the article talkpage {{u|wylie39}} {Talk} 02:29, 15 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Snowqualmie paper edit

Hello! I saw your post at the Teahouse. I added a source to the draft. I was wondering, did you happen to copy any material directly from another source? One of the items I found in google books was an exact match for a sentence in the article text. Not a huge deal, as it was only a sentence, but if you have copied other material please into the draft let us know. Thanks. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 22:43, 12 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@ThatMontrealIP I believe it was the single sentence, I made sure to rewrite and copy edit to make it non copyright infringing.
It was a direct match, word for word, so please be careful in future. The article is now published!ThatMontrealIP (talk) 02:17, 14 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
