Hey. Didn't you remove or redirect pages on sand cat subspecies ? Someone created this one Pakistan Sand Cat today. I suggest to delete or redirect it to the main page. Your thoughts? Cheers, BhagyaMani (talk) 15:16, 29 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Lion subspecies edit

I'm thinking it might be better if Panthera leo leo and Panthera leo melanochaita should redirect to Lion#Subspecies. They mostly just repeat information in the main lion article. LittleJerry (talk) 02:13, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

I agree. - UtherSRG (talk) 10:35, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I do not agree. Because : after the revision of lion subspecies to just 2 valid ones in 2017, some of us had long + difficult discussions about how to deal with this issue of subspecies, and how to tease apart + merge the contents of the outdated subpages. It was then decided to keep above mentioned 2 pages. So much re history; check the archive of the lion talk page for details. True is that now both pages contain text that is also part of the main page on lion. But they also contain text that is NOT part of the main page. Therefore imo, we first need to decide what to keep + transfer to main page + what to delete, before redirecting. And I suggest to discuss this on the lion talk page, but not here. – BhagyaMani (talk) 12:14, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
