  Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Basketball Association, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Yosemiter (talk) 16:02, 27 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Yosemiter: Understood, thank you!!! SportsFan007 (talk) 16:04, 27 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Per your comment about someone else's comment on your previous edit warring: in my opinion, you have become a much better editor now than your were then. You went through some growing pains and unfortunately it is in your block history. Keep up the good work otherwise and keep learning even if you make mistakes. (This template was more of an FYI than an actual warning.) Yosemiter (talk) 16:36, 27 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

I have seen you reverted my edit. What is the need for the recent change in the amount operated section? Seems to always been ok the way it was before 24.104.250.197 (talk) 00:26, 4 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

@24.104.250.197: I wanted to keep it consistent with the other tables. SportsFan007 (talk) 00:30, 4 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

@SportsFan007: I see, however there is no way to have complete consistency considering the fact that there is no exact numbers provided as there are for the local and express fleets. Have said that, I would suggest putting it back to the old way it was. 24.104.250.197 (talk) 00:37, 4 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

  Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Minnesota United FC does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. And on the fields article Stop adding BS to articles. Walter Görlitz (talk) 01:18, 15 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for adding an unprompted edit summary on the stadiums article. While the 2018 season is over, the field has not been opened and so to state it's in-use is misleading at best and a lie a worst. We do not make statements on the project until they actually take place. This applies to transfers, starts of contracts and use of fields. Atlanta was the same. Hi, SportsFan007, I noticed that you had a lots of requests from a single user to make user-boxes, and I have gotten a lot as well. First, I want to thank you for helping out with some of the requests, your boxes looks great! However, is there something we should do about this? It's not necessarily bad, just repetitive. Thank you for your feedback, and have a nice day! Zanygenius(talk to me!)(email me!) 00:14, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Zanygenius: Perhaps we should put limits on requests per user as to number of requests in certain amount of time? SportsFan007 (talk) 00:34, 24 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
@SportsFan007: Thank you for replying, that is a good idea. In my personal opinion, creativity itself shouldn't be limited. So perhaps we could do like 2-4 requests a week? Also, should we ask the tech about this, and try to get some help that way? Zanygenius(talk to me!)(email me!) 16:03, 25 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

As I already wrote to other users, the new logo will not be used until the 2020 season per a press release. In addition, the logo that you reinstated is the league's secondary logo. The new main logo is completely different. Just because something is shown on their website, that does not mean that you or anyone else should ignore what was officially stated in a press release. And regarding the WNBA's "Commissioner" – there is no such position in the WNBA. It is clearly stated in a press release from October 2018 that "Following three successful seasons as President of the Women’s National Basketball Association...", which is clear that President is the top position. In addition, it also says that "NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum will oversee the WNBA on an interim basis, and a search for a new league president will commence immediately.", which makes Mark Tatum as interim President. Please get familiar with the situation before reverting, because I am getting fed up with these reverts. – Sabbatino (talk) 13:16, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Sabbatino: I apologize for my confusion. SportsFan007 (talk) 14:01, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Sabbatino: Also, according to this website: [[1]], the logo that I had reinstated is the main logo. SportsFan007 (talk) 14:09, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
SportsLogos.net often confuse logos, which is the case with the WNBA's logo. The new main logo is similar to the current one, but the athlete is rotated to the left (in the current logo it is rotated to the right). One of the places where the correct main logo can be seen is at NBA G League's website (top right corner). – Sabbatino (talk) 14:20, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Comment. Also, please keep the discussion in one place. – Sabbatino (talk) 14:22, 30 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

@TheEditster: I don’t see what you are talking about. SportsFan007 (talk) 20:22, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
This. You'll see your username show up right after the timestamp on your signature. I just corrected the latest one. TheEditster (talk) 21:52, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@TheEditster: That automatically happens when I use the ~~~~ SportsFan007 (talk) 00:11, 5 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
That's because you have your username string after the date. You have to go to settings and remove the username string. You have it twice. TheEditster (talk) 00:35, 5 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

After I posted an invitation for the effort to WP:WPUBX#Diffuse, I thought a bunch about another task claimed at the page of the WikiProject Userboxes, namely Merge duplicates of same template. Today, I checked the archive of my talk page, I thought I should ask you about this. In responce to the linked userbox request, you have created three similar userboxes: {{User:SportsFan007/UserBoxes/Pearl Jam}}, {{User:SportsFan007/UserBoxes/Pearl Jam2}}, and {{User:SportsFan007/UserBoxes/Pearl Jam3}}. What do you think about possibly merging them into one userbox with a parameter to allow choosing the wording? —andrybak (talk) 00:57, 28 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

The custom for NFL userboxes is for the primary color to be the "color jersey" color, and for the ID color to be the helmet color (wherever it's different).

I don't know why you're so insistent on changing the main Raiders userbox when you can just make a new one with your color preferences? (Heck, I'll make one for you myself if you'd like)? Tom Danson (talk) 20:57, 23 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Also related: WP:RSBREAKING. Please do not add the team until the league actually approves of both the sale and relocation, both are still pending per VGK themselves: "The purchase and relocation is subject to approval from the American Hockey League Board of Governors." as well as other sources. The name you are using is also completely speculative based off trademark filings, most teams file for several just to make sure they have them (both the Seattle NHL team and their AHL affiliate have abut 5 trademarks each at this point, just as a recent example). Yosemiter (talk) 19:22, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Yosemiter: Am I wrong to think that this source: [[2]] says that the deal is approved? SportsFan007 (talk) 19:27, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
Re-read WP:RSBREAKING, even good sources can be wrong when reporting on breaking events. The buyers themselves in their press release: "The purchase and relocation is subject to approval from the American Hockey League Board of Governors" and "Media availability for Golden Knights representatives will be held at a later date following approval of the purchase and relocation from the AHL Board of Governors". So no, the sale is certainly not currently approved even if the approval is just a formality at this point. Things like this have fallen through before for odd reason (failure to get a lease, facilities are not approved by league, other owners vote to block, etc.) Yosemiter (talk) 19:44, 7 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:2022 Baskin-Robbins Logo.jpg edit

The file File:2022 Baskin-Robbins Logo.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Superseded by c:File:Baskin-Robbins logo 2022.png

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 07:19, 14 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
