July 2016 edit
Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Frederick A. Fox. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this: |image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]], instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do: |image=SomeImage.jpg. There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recetly added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Betty Smith lead edit
I see that you reverted from my revert of your edit on Betty Smith. I also see that you have made the same edit at least once before and another editor reverted that one too. Though your edits are made in good faith, please be mindful of the three revert rule. Removing her birth name from the lead could be considered a disruptive edit as it removes important, relevant information for no apparent purpose other than personal preference. Finding one example of naming in a lead and saying that is how it should be done in another lead is not how Wikipedia is written. Your example of the [[Patricia Cornwell] lead includes her maiden name; if that were to be taken as gospel, neither of us would have 100% correct in our chosen phrasing of the lead, which is perhaps why your recent edit was somewhat different from your previous ones. However, the Cornwell example is not the only instance of a person going by two names in a lifetime.
Consulting the manual of style regarding naming conventions and all other editorial choices is preferable to citing an example. For example: MOS:BIRTHNAME, MOS:FULLNAME, and even MOS:NEE could be relevant here. Because you have maintained what her biographer considers to be her legal birth name (there is some conjecture about that) in your most recent edit, the edit is less problematic, and therefore I will neither revert it nor escalate it to the moderators for now but wait until I finish the biography and see in what capacities she used her first married name vs. her other names for the rest of her life.
