Hi Timboliu, thank you for your comment on the WIKISOO talk page. I agree, many of our students will be interested in Wikipedia's sister projects! We will certainly mention them, but we do struggle sometimes in the class to cover the main thing we are here for, which is to learn about Wikipedia. There are so many opportunities to go into more detail (sister projects, licensing, open access publishing, etc. etc.) and we try not to overwhelm our students with too much of it, especially right at the beginning.
Are you planning to take the course? If so, it would be great if you could take a few minutes to talk about the sister projects! Probably not in the first class session, but maybe in week 2 or week 3. - Hi Pete, is it possible to share something about my dream for wikiversity? Maybe the class can help me with realising this dream? The dream is that (business) people are going to share their knowledge on public platforms. For instance on the English wikiversity I started a page called https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Companies. What I would like to ask your class if they can help me to share some information about the company they are currently working for. For instance: what information would be useful to someone who is going to work for that company. On the Dutch wikiversity you can find several examples: https://beta.wikiversity.org/wiki/Bedrijven. What I also want to do is share information about business processes. On the English wikiversity I just started: https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Domains. On the Dutch wikiversity I already have a lot of content: https://beta.wikiversity.org/wiki/Domeinen#Procesdomein_per_functie. Do you think the above is possible in some way? Wikiversity Journal of Medicine, an open access peer reviewed journal with no charges, invites you to participate edit

Did you know about Wikiversity Journal of Medicine? It is an open access, peer reviewed medical journal, with no publication charges. We welcome you to have a look. Feel free to participate.
You can participate in any one or more of the following ways:
- Publish an article to the journal.
- Sign up as a peer reviewer of potential upcoming articles. If you do not have expertise in these subjects, you can help in finding peer reviewers for current submissions.
- Sign up as an editor, and help out in open tasks.
- Outreach to potential contributors, with can include (but is not limited to) scholars and health professionals. In any mention of Wikiversity Journal of Medicine, there may be a reference to this Contribute-page. Example presentation about the journal.
- Add a post-publication review of an existing publication. If errors are found, there are guidelines for editing published works.
- Apply to become the treasurer of the journal
- Join the editorial board.
- Share your ideas of what the journal would be like in the future as separate Wikimedia project.
- Donate to Wikimedia Foundation.
- Translate journal pages into other languages. Wikiversity currently exists in the following other languages
- Sign up to get emails related to the journal, which are sent to updates

The future of this journal as a separate Wikimedia project is under discussion and the name can be changed suitably. Currently a voting for the same is underway.
