That whole section needs a rework - if it's true that he was never convicted, then the article cannot stay like this, irrespective of the sources. As an outsider, I read that section as if he was convicted - we have a responsibility to all people per BLP, not just the article's subject.

That being said, the article definitely can't stay like this.

Lets work together to rewrite this section in a way which adequately addresses all the issues, but in the interim, I've removed the section entirely. I'm thinking as a start that we don't use the person's name if he was never convicted of the offence, for a start. That might allow a bit more flourish in the text without causing any real harm.
