, West Slope was scheduled for annexation to Beaverton by 2010.
West Sylvan Middle School is located in West Slope south of U.S. Route 26
. In the public school district, most children will attend either Raleigh Park Elementary, Ridgewood Elementary, or William Walker Elementary schools. Tweens will mostly enter either Whitford Middle school or Cedar Park middle school. Teen will usually attend Beaverton high school. These schools are all a part of the Beaverton school district.

living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.8% were non-families. 32.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.22 and the average family size was 2.85.
In the neighborhood the population was spread out, with 21.2% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 25.9% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 95.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.8 males.
