The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture held its first Black Life Matters Wikipedia Edit-a-thon on Saturday February 7 2015, to contribute to articles on Wikipedia for the national Black WikiHistory Month outreach campaign.

The Wikipedia training and Edit-a-thon took place in the Aaron Douglas Reading Room of the Jean Blackwell Hutson Research and Reference Division with a following reception in the Langston Hughes lobby on the first floor of the building.

  • Location: Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, 515 Malcolm X Boulevard (Lenox Avenue) between West 135th and 136th Streets, Harlem, New York
  • Community Partners: Wireless Harlem & West Harlem Art Fund

The Wikipedia training and editathon will take place in the Aaron Douglas Reading Room of the Jean Blackwell Hutson Research and Reference Division, with a reception following in the Langston Hughes lobby on the first floor of the building at 5:00pm.
