Punch was an influential British weekly magazine of humour and satire, published from 1841 to 1992 and from 1996 to 2002.

One regular feature in Punch was "Our Booking Office", a book review column. This provides an interesting glimpse into the 'middlebrow' literature of the time, rather than the highbrow material reviewed by literary journals.
