Judge, Madras High Court, 1892; confirmed a few months after and retired 1895; joined Mysore Service as Chief Judge of the Chief Court, Mysore, 1896; Retired, 1902; Fellow, Madras University, 1894; and member, Faculty of Law, 1894; Is a Member of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts.
