(1906), Senior Puisne judge, Calcutta (retired); s. of late Rai Durga Prasad Ghose Bahadur; b. 1838; educ; the Hindu, and the Presidency Colleges, Calcutta; passed the Law Examination, 1860; Commenced to practice as a pleader in Burdwan; appointed Government Pleader; appointed Deputy Collector which he resigned after a short time; joined the Sadar Court.
