Constance Emma Mary, d. of late Fred Beckford Long, 1867; educ; Royal Military Acdemy , Woolwich; joined Army in Rifle Brigade, 1855; to King Royal Rifle Crops, 1871; D A.A.G. for musketry, India, 1870-77; D.A.Q.M.G. throughout Afghan war, and afterwards in India; mentioned in despatches; Brevets of Major and Lieutenant-Colonel; medal and 2 claps; commanded 2nd and 4th Batt, K.R.R. and afterwards three 2nd class districts in India,' and 1st Brigade Chitral Relief Force (medal and clasp); retired with honorary rank of Major-General, 1895; Owns about 2000 acres.
