Subba Rao, Arni, B.A., Superintendent, Madras Police; s. of late Mr. A. Kesava Rao, Tahsildar in Nellore District; b. 1864; educ: Hindu High School, Nellore, and the Presidency College, Madras; B.A., 1886; studied Law for some time; joined the Madras Police as Inspector, 1888; became Assistant Superintendent, 1899; services lent to Cochin State where he was Superintendent of Police, and Military Secretary to H.H. the Raja, 1901-06; reverted to British service and was posted as Superintendent, 1908; Assistant Superintendent, 1908; Superintendent and posted to South Canara, Address: Mangalore, S. Canara, Madras Presidency.
