Tirwa, Raja of; Udit Narayan Singh; b. 1855; succeeded to estate, 1857; belongs to a family of Baghel Rajputs who had come over from Madhogarh in the days of Jai Chand of Kanauj, at the time of the Mutiny of 1857, the Raja was a mere child and the estate was managed by his mother on his behalf; after the Mutiny, it was taken over by the Court of Wards and was handed over to the Raja on his attaining majority; the estate comprises of 126 villages in Farrukhabad and others in Mainpuri, Cawnpore and Etawa.
