Chernihiv City Council moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Chernihiv City Council, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. File:Viktor Bannikov.jpg is a non-free image. Please stop restoring this image to that article, as you did here. There is a policy at WP:NFCC regarding the use of non-free images which requires a separate, specific fair use rationale for each use of the image. You would need to add two such rationales to the image description page to pass that policy. But, it still would not be allowed. The image in the gallery fails WP:NFGALLERY guideline, and outside of the gallery fails WP:NFCC #8, as it does nothing to enhance understanding of the article and has purely a decorative role. I am removing it again. Please do not restore it. If you have questions, let me know. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 17:06, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited FC Desna Chernihiv, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Serbian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on List of FC Desna Chernihiv Top Scorer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Updating caps and stats

Hello, I'm Robby.is.on. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Robby.is.on (talk) 13:00, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing and grammar

Hi. I see you started to include sources with your edits which is good. But whoscored.com is not a great source. Please use newspaper articles and other more reliable sources instead. Also, please make sure the content you add is grammatically correct. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 15:40, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Eurosport and UEFA are better sources. But you need to make sure the references support the content you add. At Yevhen Past, the Eurosport pages do not seem to mention penalty saves and the UEFA page does not mention Past. Robby.is.on (talk) 07:34, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Can you find a better source for Vladyslav Kalitvintsev's move to Desna Chernihiv? http://www.allplayers.in.ua/en/player/952 is mostly a stats page. A newspaper article would be good. Robby.is.on (talk) 07:49, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for finally responding. I am happy to help.
Newspaper articles and books can be reliable sources. A few users have linked Wikipedia:Reliable sources here on your Talk page, now would be a good time to read that. and also from wikipedia – as Wikipedia:Reliable sources states: "Wikipedia articles (and Wikipedia mirrors) in themselves are not reliable sources for any purpose".
Thierry Henry and Alex Morgan are examples of very good articles.

so are the links that I provided you a good template or not? I've added attendible resourse also from the Premier League Federation and you are cleaning, but as far I know they are attendible. Can I post them or not? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iliochori2 (talkcontribs)

  • There are no Wikipedia articles cited as references in Filippo Inzaghi. I don't know what you mean with "attendible". We obviously have serious language issues here. You will not be able to write article content unless you can use reliable, independent sources to verify that content. If you don't know what that means, if you cannot understand even after reading the pages that Robby.is.on linked to, then I'm afraid you lack the competence to edit the English Wikipedia. Drmies (talk) 13:52, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am not agree with that, maybe you missed my questions. what I am talking about that I was explain Robby.is.on that in Filippo Inzaghi page there is the section in HONOURS the same that I have provided in my contribution and they have been delete state that they were not good contribution even using the same template. How this is possible? Iliochori2 (talk) 9:15, 17 June 2020 (UTC)

Iliochori2, as far as I can see you have not been providing references. Having an honours section is not the problem. Not having references is the problem. I don't know whether you are using the Visual Editor or not. Click here for a basic guide including information on how to add references using Visual Editor. If you are not using Visual Editor, at the end of each honour the person received, type <ref>; then type the URL of the source you are using (or the title, date, and newspaper for a newspaper article that is not online); then type </ref>. That makes a footnote. If you look again at the articles you have linked to as examples here, you will see that footnote numbers appear after the honours, or after the names of the teams that make subsections. The footnotes are at the bottom of the page. THey are what we need, because one of our most important rules here is that readers must be able to check the information. I think that by "attendible" you mean "notable" or "noteworthy", worth having in the article; that's not the issue. The issue is that you need to say where the information came from. Does that help? (By the way, click on the symbol that looks like a pen writing or a wiggle, to make a signature at the end of what you write. You copied Drmies' signature above, which is hard work and also made a wrong link.) Yngvadottir (talk) 20:34, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I got your point, so for any honour, I need to add the references. But what about, if I add wikipedia page link, where the information are already inside without adding any references? Is this an enought resource or do I need to add and include something else? Iliochori2 (talk) 22:48, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you need to add something other than Wikipedia. Usually the Wikipedia page will have a reference; open the link to that reference to make sure it says what you want to cite it for, then make a reference to it when you add the fact. We are all volunteers here and sometimes someone misreads a source or forgets to add a reference, so it's not safe to trust other Wikipedia articles as sources; that includes those in other languages. Yngvadottir (talk) 20:54, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I understand you very well now and I do agree 100%, but I have one concern in Filippo Inzaghi page in the section "Italy", in the Honour, there are these tags FIFA World Cup: 2006 without reference. I found these tags in this way, many times with a link in other pages of wikipedia and they have not been delete as they did with my contribution. Why happended in my contribution of the Honour, where I have placed the same tags Iliochori2 (talk) 23:26, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not familiar with the usual format for footballers with long careers, but I find the 2006 World Cup referenced in the text above, footnote number 51. I'm pinging Robby.is.on and EdJohnston so that they can see that we have been talking here and that you now understand better what people have been saying; I think they or someone else may be able to give you more precise information about things like listing international caps under Honours. Yngvadottir (talk) 21:57, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Content in the "Honours" section needs to be sourced. The fact that other articles are insufficiently sourced doesn't mean we can add more unsourced stuff. Robby.is.on (talk) 14:58, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok but you asked me to show where I found these information, why you don't remove them and and you remove my material, I think is not fair. Its look discrimination on my eyes Iliochori2 (talk) 23:26, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As I'm volunteer like everybody else here I can choose how I want to invest my time. Wikipedia has an incredible amount of articles and I could spent years removing unsourced content. But that's not what I am here for.
A few days ago, I noticed that for weeks you had been making massive additions without including references and I reacted to that urgent problem. Robby.is.on (talk) 15:12, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok but I show you the page, it takes you few minutes.
Yes and I didn't know how to reply to you here. Then when I found it, your explanation sometime were confusing. Apologies to be honest, plus I have included references and almost the entire contribution were delete, eventhose that they were provided references. Iliochori2 (talk) 17:25, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
For example now I just added some information in this page Oleksandr Filippov with relavant references as your collegues Yngvadottir kindly explained to me how to do and it was been removed. Can I know exactly what was wring in the article please?. Iliochori2 (talk) 17:3, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
After receiving numerous warnings you should have stopped making further additions and figured out how to respond to the concerns.
Unfortunately I've just learned how to reply the day the 16 June 2020 (UTC), before that I've tried to contact you in many way just to ask any possible clarification Iliochori2 (talk) 20:34, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You added copyrighted material again. You were previously blocked for copyright violations in May. See WP:COPYPASTE. Robby.is.on (talk) 16:56, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It is the part in the text the problem? Iliochori2 (talk) 20:34, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Iliochori2: Yes, that's what Robby.is.on is saying; you copied some text from your reference about him being the best player. We can't copy text from anywhere into Wikipedia, because it is a copyright violation. Everything in Wikipedia is free for anyone to reuse, including for sale, so if we copy someone's words (or photos), we're releasing them to be reused by others and depriving the owner of their rights. Here's a page for editors summarizing that. But you did add references, and your edit was not completely removed. From the article history (and apologies, this is in the old-style format and not mobile, because I use a desktop computer and the old editing software): this is the changes you made in your two edits and this is how Robby.is.on changed it; leaving the article changed like this from before you made your two edits. Robby.is.on is trying to help you make the article better: he has kept your new section and fixed a mistake you made in the reference formatting, while removing the copied text and the second reference. Does that help?
Yes, he tried but sometimes when I posed some questions, they were a bit vague and sometime he didn't respond to my specific questions. Now since I knew how to reply to you, I can understand what I have to fix and in case pose more questions if its neccessary, thank you. Iliochori2 (talk) 20:34, 18 June 2020 (UTC) 11:09, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I wonder whether you have found the Teahouse? It's a help page for new editors to ask questions, and you may be able to get good explanations there. We have a lot of articles about footballers/soccer players and we always need people willing to help keep them up to date and search for references, so I really want to get you to where you understand the rules and can help, and there will almost always be someone who can help with things like fixing teh reference format. Yngvadottir (talk) 20:01, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No I didn't, thank a million. It will be very useful, I will go and have a read, thanks again. Iliochori2 (talk) 20:34, 18 June 2020 (UTC) 11:11, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Iliochori2. I see you attempted to respond here by mistake. You modified one of our standard templates, which is not the right way. The right place for you to answer is at WP:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Disruptive editing by Iliochori2. At first sight, there is a language problem that keeps you from being effective here. Wikipedia assumes that you can get started here without making too many mistakes, but your error rate is very high. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 15:21, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Iliochori2 (talk) 19:00, 17 June 2020 (UTC) is here that I need to respond or in another link? I have sent and email, can you please double check? Is this place ok to respond? What is the complain that I have to explain about? Please give me some instruction as I am not familiar to respond here in wikipedia, its seems confusing the tools to respond. Why I am in risk? What I have done? I have added appropriate material and valid source, plus some member of your staff are not answering when I am providing explanation or asking questions how to contribute according with the policies of wikipedia. Your recent changes

Hi there. Some issues I noticed looking over your edits at Oleksandr Ryabokon, Oleksandr Filippov, and Denys Favorov:

  • Placement of full stops: full stops go before references. Wrong: "<ref></ref>."; right: ".<ref></ref>".
  • date formats: the pages you edited are in the dmy format. Wrong: "the 20th may 2020", right: "on 20 May 2020".
  • references titles: Please use the correct title of the articles you use. Example: for https://www.desna.football/trener-1/ you gave "Oleksandr Ryabokon signed for FC Desna Chernihiv <nowiki>| Referee report </nowiki>" as the page title, whereas "Олександр Рябоконь" is the correct title of the page. If you want to include a translation of the title, use the "|trans-title" parameter.

Let me know if anything requires clarification. Robby.is.on (talk) 22:09, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Iliochori2 (talk) 23:30, 9 July 2020 (UTC) Yes, thanks for your instructions, I will try to don't make the same mistakes and change those that I have done already.[reply]
Please make corrections at Denys Favorov. It's full of the issues mentioned above. Also, stop adding adding unsourced content like here. Robby.is.on (talk) 22:49, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(talk) 0813, 13 July 2020 (UTC) Sorry, regarding Denys Favorov, I have just paste the wrong resource.
And you shouldn't be adding more stuff to Oleksandr Filippov until you have cleaned up your mistakes. Robby.is.on (talk) 23:20, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(talk) 0813, 13 July 2020 (UTC) In relation about Oleksandr Filippov, I am a bit confused, there is a wrong source?
I haven't checked the sources. But the article is full of the issues mentioned above: wrong date formatting ("the 20th may 2020") and wrong placement of full stops. Robby.is.on (talk) 07:45, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I have seen, thanks to point them out. I will correct them, Apologizes. (talk) 10:45, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed for Denys Favorov. (talk) 10:57, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, there were many issues left which I tried to sort out in a series of edits: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Denys_Favorov&action=history Two other things:
* The ESPN source you gave did not support the claim that the club won the First League, it only stated that it had been promoted,
* adjectives such as "amazing" are usually not appropriate. See WP:Peacock.
I don't have the time to go through all of the changes you have been making to other articles. Please fix these issues as good as you can at all the articles you edited. Other editors might not bother to correct all the problems and instead might just revert the changes you've made. Robby.is.on (talk) 12:01, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I perfectly understand that you are running out of time, no worries I keepin mind your instruction for future references. Thanks again for your instructions. iliochori2 (talk) 15:35, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yevhen Past in August 2020

Hi. I looked over your changes at Yevhen Past and I can see you are consistently including references for your changes which is great. I had to fix a bunch of minor mistakes (see my change here). Specifically, the issue are:

  • Reference titles: for a couple of references, you simply used the player's name as the title. Please use the correct title. For example for this reference the title is "Євген Паст: «Удача відвернулася від команди в найвідповідальніший момент»". You can translate non-English titles to English using the "trans-title" parameter.
  • "14 August 2020", not "14th of august 2020". See the "Use dmy dates" template at the top of the page, it prescribes the date format.
  • If you update the number of appearance, please also update the timestamp – "pcupdate" or "club-update" for club appearances, "ntupdate" or "nationalteam-update" for national team appearances.

Happy editing, Robby.is.on (talk) 10:11, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

PAS Giannina

Good evening!!! You make changes on PAS Giannina F.C..You make mistakes. You put director Dasios but he is out.You write as notable former players Kuzik and Naumets. They are not notable for the club and Naumets is not former player. Please if you are not sure, dont change it.Perhaps you can ask.PAS Giannina is not so famous club and i am sure you dont know it very well.--Fon7 (talk) 18:52, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message, I know PAS Giannina F.C. very well as I am follwing them since the last 20 years. I provided you the source that Dasios is a Director from the official website of the club. Che here Georgios Dasios and the website of the club https://pasgiannina.gr/anakoinwseis/ntasios-niarxakos-9-2019/ - Let me know Iliochori2 (Iliochori2) 18:52, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also Panepirotan Athletic Center is the training field.Zosimades is the home field.--Fon7 (talk) Let me know please 21:47 (UTC)

Regarding the main field is Zosimades but they also use the Panepirotan National Athletic Center. Please check this and let me know http://www.stadia.gr/panipeirotiko/panipeirotiko.html Iliochori2 (Iliochori2) 21:47, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It's the training field.PAS plays only friendly matches. Also Velissario doesnt use the facilities.I watch PAS Giannina every day so I know it very well.Your source is outdated.--Fon7 (talk) 09:07, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Me too I watch and also straming PAS Giannina F.C.'s matches, almost everyday and they used the fiel Panepirotan National Athletic Center also for official matches. You can see in the link http://www.stadia.gr/panipeirotiko/panipeirotiko.html of the offical site of Studia.gr that Velissario use mainly this stadium, furthermore my friend is the part of the managment of the team. What about Datios? Please check this and let me know Iliochori2 (Iliochori2) 11:31, 27 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am supporter of PAS Giannina. It's my team.I think i know more.In Panepirotan National Athletic Center (PEAKI),PAS Giannina plays friendlies every summer. He never played official matches.100%.Also previous years U-20,U-17,U-15 played there. They dont play there now as well. It's te training field.

Velisario used this field on the past. Not now.I told you that your source is outdated.Velisario has problems with his field and it changes its home every year.

Dasios, not Datios, resigned from his position. There were some problems. The president wanted someone else.

Are you from Ukraine?Because only Naumets is from there.--Fon7 (talk) 17:55, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also Panepirotan National Athletic Center is correct as name. That's not the problem i think. It's not just a field. It's sports facilities.--Fon7 (talk) 17:59, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oh wow, are you a supporter of PAS Giannina like me. I am so happy, yes after you told me about Datios I have seen that he was removed but in his wikipedia page was still as a direct. Thanks for your information about Velisario, what about AE Ioannina, are they still playing there? Ok I can adjust a little bit Panepirotan National Athletic Center. I am italian and my dad is from Ioannina which I have been there a lot but I started known Ukrainian soccer quite a lot and of course I know Naumets befOre joyin to PAS and Orest Kuzyk (that he didn't play well for PAS). Iliochori2 (Iliochori2) 21:39, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps you are the first italian supporter of PAS Giannina. There is a forum for PAS but it is in greek. Also there are pages on social. If you want to join.

Perhaps Dasios page needs new info.

No,AE Giannina doesnt play there as well. Both AE Giannina and Velissario play on amateur divisions.

Naumets scored a great goal on sunday against Aris Thessaloniki. He is on a good form.Kouzik transfered to Pafos,Cyprus.I dont know if he is on a free transfer or on a loan.Possible on a free transfer.Kouzik was on loan 2 times but he played for PAS for six months if i remember right.--Fon7 (talk) 18:19, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I know there aren't many italian supporters, but the team is known a little bit in Italy, not like big clubs in Greece. Yes I have seen the forum, please send me the link to check if it is the same one that I have. I also following the team in Facebook, Twitter, Telegram and all social media. Thanks for the information about AE Giannena and Velissario. Actually I know who built the website of AE Giannina is a friend of mine, now the team doesn't have a website anymore. Do you have the page in wikipedia for the Greek amateur divisions?
Regarding Naumets, yes I have seen his goal, actually I have updated his wikipedia page. Regarding Kouzik , I have seen him playing in Ukraine, when he was loaned, he is good in running but I has expecting more with him. With PAS played only 4 games with Giannis Petrakis. Yes now he is in Pafos loned for free for one year, as he has another year contract with PAS. Sorry for my long yalk, have a nice working day. Iliochori2 (Iliochori2) 08:37, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There are some fans that they travel to Bergamo but we are unknown as a team.We introduced in 2016 but it need more.A famous italian player tried to spell Panepirotikos then.I dont remember his name.

The forum is pas.gr.

The greek page for amateur clubs is Ένωση Ποδοσφαιρικών Σωματείων Ηπείρου.There are more inside.

I think everyone expected more from Kouzik but i dont know why he didnt do better.I know that he has one year more contract but it is possible that he left on a free transfer to Pafos. There is no info from PAS or Pafos.Do you know anything?--Fon7 (talk) 18:57, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I will try to find his name and I will tell you. Thanks for the amateus club name. I will found out. Kouzik went on loan for one year, but he signed three years contract with Pafos, I just updated his pages the 6 September 2020. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

An article you recently created, Obelisk and Eternal Flame (Chernihiv), does not have enough reliable sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your page to draft space (with a prefix of Draft: before the article title) where you can work on it with minimal disruption. When you feel that it meets our notability and neutrality requirements, and is thus ready for mainspace, please submit it using the Articles for Creation template on the page.
