Hi! I saw your post on my talk page - I've added the link to the bottom of the page. My only concern with this is that the source predates the book, so there are some issues in how it can be used and what can be included. Keep in mind that since the article is meant to be about the 1996 book, the dissertation should only be mentioned if it's covered within the book. If it's not mentioned then it would potentially be seen as original research to link the two together beyond a one sentence statement along the lines of "prior to this the author wrote on the topic for her dissertation in X year". It can't be used to back up any claims that are mentioned in the book but aren't in the dissertation, plus it also cannot show notability for the book. Hey Shalor, thanks for adding in the citation for me, but I'm confused about the difference between the dissertation and the article? I don't know if the dissertation was talked about within the book. Should I just state Goheen wrote a dissertation on the commodity of land, labor and symbolic capital in nso, Cameroon in 1985?
