Uncertain. Probably a corrupted form of ใน (nai), according to some. Compare Old Khmer ណា (ṇā), នា (, place, position, site, location; destination; time, moment, occasion; etc); Modern Khmer ណា (naa), នា (niə); Old Mon na, Lao ນະ (na).
