14:00 Egypt kick off their handball campaign with a superb 37-31 victory over Portugal in Group B. 
13:15 Egyptian swimmer Marwan El-Kamash fails to reach the final of the men's 400m freestyle, finishing 14th in the overall ranking of all heats with a time of 3:46.94. Only the top six advances to the final. 

12:40 Egyptian swimmer Farida Osman fails to reach the semis after finishing 8th out of eight swimmers in Heat 4 in the women's 100m butterfly event with a time of 58.69 seconds, missing out on a place among the top 16 swimmers in all heats. 
11:45 The Badminton Women's Doubles Team loses 2-0 against Japan in Group B. Egyptian duo Doha Hany and Hadia Hosny lose 21-7 and 21-3 to Japanese duo Wakana Nagahara and Mayu Matsumoto respectively. 

10:15 Egyptian Yousra Helmi loses 4-0 to France's Jia Nan Yuan in the first round of the table tennis women's singles. 

08:15 Egyptian shooter Samy Abdel-Fattah Abdel Razek fails to reach the finals of the10m Air Pistol Men's event after finishing 31rd out of 36 contestants in the qualification, scoring a total of 567 points. Only the top eight advance to the final stage.
08:10 Tennis player Mayar Sherif is elminated on her Olympic debut after losing 5-7, 6-7 to Rebecca Peterson of Sweden in Women's singles first round.
08:05 Fencer Mohamed Amer lost 9-15 to korean Sanguk OH in Round of 16 of the Sabre event.
08:00 Fencer Ziad El Sissy lost 12-15 to Sandro Bazadze of Georgia in Round of 16 of the Sabre event.
06:45 Taekwondo fighter Nour Abdel Salam lost 21-20 against Rukiye Yildirim of Turkey in the Women's -49kg Round of 16. Yildirim had a large win in the first round of 9-4 and though Abdel Salam won the other two 9-8 and 7-4 but that wasn't enough to win the contest.
06:20 Fencer Ziad El Sissy defeated Veniamin Reshetnikov of Russia  15-13 in Round of 32 of the Sabre event. He will face Sandro Bazadze of Georgia in Round of 16.
06:05 Fencer Mohab Shawky lost 15-10 to Sandro Bazadze of Georgia in Round of 32 of the Sabre event.
06:00 Egypt Table Tennis Mixed Doubles Team lost 2-0 against Korea Round of 16. Egyptian duo Omar Assar and Dina Meshref lost 11-9, 3-11, 5-11, 7-11 and 8-11 to Korean duo Sangsu Lee and Jihee Jeon.
05:45 Fencer Mohamed Amer beats Rio 2016 silver medalist Daryl Homer of the US 15-11 in Round of 32 of the Sabre event.
05:10 Gymnast Omar Mohamed scored 13.300 points in the Parallel Bars, 13.033 points on the Horizontal Bar, 13.233 points on the Floor, 13.000 points on the Pommel Horse, 12.500 points on the Rings and 13.800 pts on the Vault. He finished 14th out of 19 contests in the individual ranking with a total of 78.866 points.
04:20 Egypt Badminton Mixed Doubles Team lost 2-0 against top seed China in Group A. Egyptian duo Adham Hatem Elgamal and Doha Hany lost 21-5 and 21-10 to Chinese duo Si Wei Zheng and Ya Qiong Huang.
02:50 Egyptian shooter Alzahraa Shaban finished 38th out of 50 contestants in the Women’s 10m Air rifle scoring a total of 620 points over her 60 shots. She won’t qualify for the final as the top 8 only advance to the final stage.
