The Schitt's Creek father-son duo injected some much-needed comedy into the SAG Awards' traditional "I'm an actor" intros before taking the stage and opening the show with a simple but very charming welcome that made one thing very clear: Dan and Eugene Levy should host absolutely anything and everything.

"This whole thing really has been a dream...if I wake up tomorrow and I discover it was just that, then thank you — it has been the most beautiful dream," said Phoebe Waller-Bridge, radiating genuine joy and gratitude, as she accepted the award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on Fleabag.

Alex Borstein loves Fleabag

After winning for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, the very surprised cast of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel gathered onstage, where Alex Borstein took it upon herself to praise another nominee: Fleabag. "I voted for Fleabag, this is really weird," Borstein said in what was a hilarious, seemingly very genuine moment of shock. "This makes no sense. Fleabag is brilliant. I didn't vote for Rachel [Brosnahan]; I didn't vote for Tony [Shalhoub]!"

Brad Pitt's acceptance speech

After winning for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, Brad Pitt delivered a hilarious and self-deprecating speech. He thanked his costars' feet, teased director Quentin Tarantino about his foot fetish ("Seriously, Quentin has separated more women from their shoes than the TSA"), and made fun of his public persona and past relationships ("Let's be honest, it was a difficult part: the guy who gets high, takes his shirt off, and doesn't get along with his wife"). It was all extremely charming.

There are a few things you can expect from any awards show, one of those being a surprise or two. And that's precisely what we got when Jennifer Aniston took the SAG Awards' stage with a well-deserved but unexpected win for her powerful performance in The Morning Show. A stunned Aniston accepted the award, marking her first SAG win since 1996 when she won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series with the cast of Friends.

Parasite gets two standing ovations and a win

Parasite was the big winner of the night. The cast received not one, but two standing ovations — the first introducing the film and the second when they won — and took home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Joaquin Phoenix gives Heath Ledger a shout-out

Putting aside whatever you think of the movie Joker, you have to admit star Joaquin Phoenix's speech was very sweet. Not only did he compliment every single one of his fellow nominees, but he also paid tribute to the late Heath Ledger, who won an Oscar for playing Joker in The Dark Knight: "I'm standing here on the shoulders of my favorite actor, Heath Ledger, so, thank you."
