Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston greet one another backstage after SAG Awards wins

The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor stopped what he was doing to celebrate his ex's win after his own.

Couples who don’t stay together, get awards together!

During Sunday’s 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, former spouses Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston came face-to-face backstage following their individual wins at the 2020 ceremony.

Pitt took home the accolade for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, making a hilarious and heartfelt speech in which he joked he’d be adding his win to his Tinder profile. “Let’s be honest, it was a difficult part: The guy who gets high, takes his shirt off, and doesn’t get along with his wife,” he said during his acceptance speech, causing his ex-wife, Aniston to applaud and whoop from the crowd.

Later, while Aniston was accepting her own award for Female Actor in a Drama Series, Pitt stopped in his tracks to watch The Morning Show actress’ speech on a television screen backstage — a gesture Aniston later described as “sweet” to ExtraTV . When the two award winners later bumped into one another, they congratulated each other warmly on their wins.

At the 26th Annual SAG Awards on Sunday, Aniston, 50, caught up with ExtraTV after her best actress in a drama series win for The Morning Show. The star told the outlet that the victory meant even more coming from her peers — including fellow winner, Pitt, 56.

“We’ve all grown up together, we really have,” Aniston said in regards to her win in the same interview with ExtraTV. “It just feels like a really fun night to celebrate and cheer each other on and keep working. There are not dark hours, but, you know, you don’t really have that much of a life, so it’s nice to come out and put a pretty dress on and sort of celebrate your friends and their work, and inspire each other to keep going — and like [Brad] said, it’s back to work tomorrow.”

Pitt and Aniston were married from 2000 to 2005, but have remained friends with the former attending the latter’s 50th birthday party back in February 2019.
