Céline Dufétel

Dufétel is used to being one of the only women in the room. While studying applied mathematics, economics, and finance at the École Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France, Dufétel served in the French navy and was the only woman serving on a 200-person oil tanker. Since then, the 39-year-old has traded in her uniform to become CFO at T. Rowe Price, a firm that manages a hefty $1.2 trillion in assets and posted record profits of $2.1 billion last year. A member of the firm’s C-suite for the past two and a half years, Dufétel is one of the few female CFOs in the largest financial institutions in the S&P 500 (and the only one under 40). As CFO, she heads up the firm’s strategy, investor relations, M&A, and, lately, the firm’s global investment operations and pandemic response, leading a team of over 700 worldwide.
