Keia Cole

The 39-year-old boasts quite a diverse résumé: Cole is an alumna of the Obama administration and the Department of Education, practiced as a litigator, and worked as an analyst at Morgan Stanley. Now, she heads up digital experience at the Massachusetts-based firm, which saw profits jump 830% year over year in 2019 on $37.3 billion in sales. Cole spearheads MassMutual’s customer-focused products including its web and mobile apps, and recently accelerated the rollout of a digital client profiling tool that helps the firm’s financial professionals learn more about clients while they’ve been unable to meet in person. Apart from working to fast-track some of the firm’s digital projects, Cole has also been a key voice in leading dialogue within the company about racial injustice, and says her favorite piece of career advice, to “take good care of your people,” has taken on a whole new meaning in light of the pandemic and racist violence of the past few months.
