Leah Belsky

When the pandemic struck and schools started moving lessons to the Internet, Belsky swung into action at Coursera, one of the leading providers of online courses. She led an effort dubbed the Campus Response Initiative to help universities get online, so far serving 1.6 million students who participated in 29 million hours of learning. Before COVID-19, much of Belsky's focus at Coursera, which she joined in 2015, was on building its corporate business; enrollment in business programs is up 324% from a year ago. Belsky started her career in the nonprofit sector and worked at the World Bank and National Institutes of Health before heading into the world of education startups.
