DURHAM – Duke women's basketball is hosting a teddy bear toss during halftime of next Wednesday's contest versus No. 1 South Carolina. Fans are encouraged to come "bearing" gifts for children on gameday, while the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a Duke Santa hat.

Bring your new or gently used teddy bears (or other stuffed animals) of any size to throw onto the court during halftime. All teddy bears thrown will be collected and donated to patients at the Duke Children's Hospital during the holiday season.

The bears will be screened by security prior to entering Cameron Indoor Stadium. If you are bringing more bears than you can carry, the clear bag policy is still in effect.  Game time is set for 7 p.m.

On Monday, the Blue Devils returned to the Associated Press top-25 poll at No. 19 as Duke boasts an 8-0 record on the season in head coach Kara Lawson's second year in Durham.  

Tickets for the Duke-South Carolina game are available for purchase and Health & Safety Protocols will be in effect. Fans may upload their vaccination card or negative test at DukeCheckIn.com.
