Quantum Computing: Home

Taking technology to a new level, quantum computing promises efficient problem solving not feasible on classical computers.

QUANTUM COMPUTING DEFINED

Key Terminology

Quantum Computing: an area of study focused on developing computer technology based on the principles of quantum theory

Superposition:  an essential principle of quantum mechanics that refers to the ability of a quantum system to be in two states at the same time.

Entanglement: describes the way in which particles of energy and/or matter can become correlated to predictably interact with each other regardless of how far apart they are.

Interference:  a complex concept that states that an individual particle, such as a photon (light particles) can cross its own trajectory and interfere with the direction of its path as well as in more than one place at any given time through the principle of superposition.
