Your feedback matters to us. Help us to extend our discovery indexes, KnowledgeBases and Community Zone by telling us what collections and data you’d like to see us add, using the message areas below. You can also support something already posted. If you are suggesting new content for Discovery that is not yet in the Knowledgebase you do not need to submit two entries (one for Discovery and one for Knowledgebase) Specifically you can suggest: • New collections for Discovery (Primo Central and Summon) • New collections for the Knowledgebase (Alma CZ, SFX KB and 360 KB) • New authority files to be added to the Community Zone • Enrichment of Community Zone bibliographic records for certain collections
We would love to be able to respond to every idea that is submitted, but this is not feasible. We are, however, committed to responding to the most popular ideas—those that have received the most points. For more information please review our FAQ and guidelines. Thank you.
Unit – The Norwegian Directorate for ICT and Joint Services in Higher Education and Research are administering an Open Access collection with journals within the humanities and social sciences. We would like this collection to be included in Alma's Community Zone.
Name of the collection: 'Norske OA humsam-tidsskrift'
Add Austlit to Primo Central Index. A premier resource for research on Australian literature. A searchable, scholarly source of authoritative biographical, bibliographic, critical, and production information about Australian writers and writing. Includes full text of 200 works of Australian fiction and poetry, selections of children's literature, anthology of criticism, critical articles, review and surveys, and 300 items of early science fiction.
This is a request to add a single free/open access collection for all Springer Nature free/open access journals. Currently there are 4 community zone collections in Alma with many overlaps:
SpringerOpen Free - (CKB)613170000000000044
BioMed Central open Access - (CKB)611000000000000500
Bacon Springer Nature Global Open Access - (CKB)613780000000000900 Springer Nature Oa Journals - (CKB)614910000000000075
We’d like the addition of one single consolidated collection because having the above 4 collections is unnecessarily confusing for students and staff as they currently encounter so many electronic collections for the same journal/article even when different community zone electronic collection links in Primo end up…
The Pressbooks Directory (https://pressbooks.directory/) indexes over 2000 open access books created by educational institutions. As many of these are not indexed separately, it would be great if the contents of the directory could be included in the Alma Community Zone and/or the Central Discovery Index.
Encyclopaedia Universalis collection already exists in PCI, but the availability type is "Link in Record". It makes it impossible for patrons to access the fulltext. The availability should be "Link resolver", so the library can manage its proxy settings in the link resolver.
As university library user I would like to retrieve contents from the Bibliography of German Literature and Literary Studies (BDSL) while searching in the Summon Index. This would enrich my search results with relevant resources in the field of German studies and also give me the possibility to get this database recommended.
The Bibliography of German Literature and Literary Studies (Bibliographie der deutschen Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaften, BDSL) is the most important bibliographical database in the field of Germanic studies and German literature, covering information about publications on German language and literature since 1957 and including ca. 450.000 entries of monographs…
