About the Role
Kanopy is looking for a motivated, high-performing Account Executive based in Australia or New Zealand. You will be responsible for closing new business opportunities, as well as nurturing and growing existing business located in the APAC region. You will need to demonstrate a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and achieve ongoing sales targets. Key Responsibilities Include:
Drive account retention, expansion and acquisition for Kanopy sales throughout the market to meet or exceed goals through relationship building, prospecting, and implementation of networking strategies.
Develop and sustain key relationships to maximize revenue and business opportunities.
Foster client satisfaction and ensure that issues are resolved, working with colleagues in Customer Service, Technical Support and Product.
Enter leads, activity and forecast information into SalesForce.com.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of Kanopy and the video streaming market in general
Attend and participate in relevant trade shows.
Travel is required for key customer visits (up to 50%).
Requirements
Bachelor's degree plus minimum 2 years of related sales experience in a comparable industry and/or to a comparable customer base, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven success in selling and closing customers, creating value, and managing a pipeline.
Familiarity and experience working with academic libraries and consortia.
Ability to develop a deep understanding of product line and client base
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships.
Excellent organizational skills, with ability to mobilize resources across a matrixed organization to reach shared goals.
Ability to assess the sales process and request participation from executive managers when required.
