Kanopy is a streaming service who partners with universities and public libraries to provide thoughtful entertainment to millions of users across the globe. We are looking for a Product Designer who will help us push boundaries for our existing users and new audiences.
About the Role
Reporting to the Sr. UX Designer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee the experience from conception to launch. You will create intuitive, accessible, and delightful experiences for new and existing users.
You are a smart, competent, confident designer with a humble attitude. You are a skilled communicator who welcomes honest feedback and who collaborates with others to help challenge and improve upon your own ideas. You have a strong desire to understand user behavior and success through data and customer insights.
Collaborate with product managers, researchers, designers and engineers to craft exceptional user experiences
Create concepts in a variety of fidelities
Create and test prototypes for feedback with users
Create new and creative experiences for users
Help to grow user base
Ability to balance company, stakeholder, and user needs
Help guide innovation efforts in collaboration with designers and stakeholders
1+ years of professional design experience
Portfolio showcasing deep understanding of human-centered design process
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, etc.
Experience creating user flows, wireframes, full fidelity designs, and prototypes
Understanding of responsive design
Experience collaborating with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers throughout the design process
Experience working across multiple platforms (web, TV, and apps)
Expertise in visual or UI design
