Litterae Arabicae (الأدب العربي al-Adab al-‘Arabī) sunt litterae, prosa et poesis, a scriptoribus Arabice generatae. Adab, vocabulum Arabicum pro 'littera', ex quadam regiminis morum notione derivatur, urbanitatem, humanitatem, culturam significans.

Litterae Arabicae saeculo quinto ortae sunt, solum fragmentis omnis linguae scriptae antea apparentibus. Alcoranus, late a Musulmanis optimum litterarum exemplum Arabice scriptum,[1] culturam litterasque Arabicas perpetuo impellit. Litterae Arabicae per aetatem auream Islamicam vigebant, sed usque ad tempus nostrum vegetae manent, poetis auctoribusque orationis solutae per mundum Arabicum et alibi prosperitatem habentibus.
