I am Deputy Director for Library IT and Director of LIT's Architecture & Engineering department. As Deputy Director I provide tactical leadership for the day-to-day activity of LIT from the whole-division perspective. This includes day-to-day management of the LIT product portfolio and budget.

Additionally, as Digital Preservation Technology Lead I provide strategic direction for the library’s digital preservation technology solutions in service of the library’s digital preservation objectives and commitments.

I have 25 years of experience in higher education academic, enterprise, and research computing as a developer, systems engineer, and team leader. This includes a two-year term as Interim Associate University Librarian for IT here at Michigan. I have been in Library IT at the U-M Library since 2007. I have a BS and MS in Atmospheric Science, but I have never been a practicing meteorologist.
