Library Master Planning Process and Events

This week serves as the kickoff for our Master Planning process. The purpose of the study is to: 1) understand the emerging needs of Cooper Library relative to faculty, staff and student user groups; 2) identify opportunities to better support users’ needs through the investigation of services and spaces currently offered and assess how those services and spaces are organized and staffed; 3) generate a category-level program of spaces; and 4) prepare a master plan report that embodies the future vision and strategy for Cooper Library at Clemson University.

If you are a student or faculty member at Clemson University, we have two events for you to participate in the Library Master Plan Study being conducted this fall. Help us shape the future design of the re-envisioned Cooper Library.

  • Faculty, please join us for the upcoming Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 4:00pm – 5:00pm in the 401 Byrnes Room (main floor). Representatives from the Architectural firm Collins, Cooper, Carusi and a consulting firm Brightspot will be leading the discussions.
  • Students, please join us Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 5:30m – 6:30pm at the Learning Commons West, 4th floor Cooper for our Student Feedback Fair. We are seeking your input on the future of the new Clemson Libraries and its role on our campus. Drop in at any time during this open house session to participate in activities facilitated by our consultant team and give feedback on future experiences we should offer in the library to best support the Clemson community.

Your feedback is valuable to our work. Mark your calendars and we look forward to seeing you!
