Clemson Libraries is hosting an open house event to celebrate the changes on the 3rd and 6th floor of Cooper Library on Wednesday, October 16th from 10am-12pm! All students, faculty, and staff are invited to drop-in to see our new spaces and enjoy cookies and punch.
We have been renovating these spaces since last April to provide more student study space. This project involved moving approximately 80,000 journals from the 5th and 6th floors to our offsite storage facility.
Both floors were given fresh paint, carpet, and furniture. The third floor has new electrical and multiple study rooms. We also added some games on the sixth floor like giant Jenga and Connect Four. We hope this improved environment will be of great benefit to students and faculty in the long run.
