Summary This book focuses on how Australian law addresses a selection of topics falling within the "law of obligations". The topics addressed include common law rules of contract, tort and restitution. They also include certain principles of equity and relevant statutory rules as found in the Competition and Consumer Act (2010) (Cth) and the various Sale of Goods Acts. Each chapter begins with a 'Rule' representing a codification of the common law as it stands. This provides students with an accessible overview or 'map' of the relevant area of law before they are presented with the actual sources of the law.
