Custom Library Classes

Librarians provide a wide variety of classes based on the needs of IU School of Medicine students, faculty and staff. A library liaison can work with faculty members to develop a class tailored to a specific specialty, curriculum or research assignment.

Circulation staff are available at the front desk on the first floor of the Ruth Lilly Medical Library in Indianapolis. This team answers the general phone number at 317-274-7182 and provides support to library visitors Monday through Friday 8 am until 5 pm as well as evenings and weekends during library hours. Circulation Desk Services include assistance with photocopiers, scanners and pay for print equipment; materials check-in and check-out; assistance with holds and renewals; document delivery; journal and book lookups; and reference inquiries.

The Ruth Lilly Medical Library offers research guides on many topics, including how to measure scholarly impact and how to use Endnote for organizing references. Test preparation resources and specialized guides for specific departments are also available.
