Simplifying
procedures, transparency and security of processes, reduction of response times of requests, reduction of costs of stationery and office equipment, are some of the benefits that will enjoy for companies in areas with the implementation of the Single Window, informed the union.

Santo Domingo, August 5, 2019. - With the aim of integrating and improving processes, simplifying and unifying procedures, and reducing response times, the National Council of Export Processing Zones (CNZFE) implemented the Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE) of the Directorate General of Customs (DGA).
This is a trade facilitation initiative that promotes transparency in the processes of
export, import and transit of goods, creating a good investment climate and an objective measurement of the regulations for doing business.
In June 2019, the approval of the exports of the companies admitted in Law 8-90 on export
free zones was integrated, however, from October 2018, for the first time, the VUCE was put into operation in the exonerations of raw materials, machinery and equipment of the companies covered by Law 56-07 (on the priority sectors: textiles, footwear and leather manufacturing).
Among the benefits that the CNZFE emphasizes to be achieving with this implementation are: simplification of procedures, transparency and security of processes, reduction of response times of requests, reduction of costs of stationery and office equipment, among others.
To achieve the integration of these services to the VUCE, training workshops were given to employees of companies in free trade zones, in the north, east and in the Province of Santo Domingo. In these workshops, VUCE staff explained the
importance, objectives and benefits of integrating the institution's services to the Single Window for Foreign Trade; and taught how to apply on the platform.
According to the press release of the CNZFE, in the course of this year also must be implemented in VUCE, the services of sales to the local market and letters of no objection of the companies belonging to Law 8-90.
, however, so far the window in question still does not work.
