During 2020, the main buyer of veterinary vaccines
in Central America was Guatemala with $15.2 million, followed by Costa Rica with $10.9 million, Honduras with $6.6 million, El Salvador with $6.4 million, Nicaragua with $4 million and Panama with $3.9 million.Variation of Regional Imports
Between 2019 and 2020, the imported value of veterinary vaccines in Central America decreased 18.64%, going from $42.7 million to $34.7 million.
Meanwhile, purchases of vaccines from Mexico fell from $8.2 million to $7.4 million.Origin of Imports
Last year, 35.65% of the value imported from Central America
came from the USA, 21.24% from Mexico, Panama with 12.75%, the Netherlands with 9.39%, Spain with 6.58%, France with 3.25% and Germany with 2.01%.
